Keeping a well-maintained vehicle is enormously important. Many things could go wrong given weather, road surfaces and impediments or just the relentless South Florida heat wherein wear is accentuated. Ensuring safety and preservation of your kinetic piece of art should be instinctual. And, it's easy with an oil change every few thousand miles.
During an oil change, it's not just about oil alone. Indeed, present oil will be drained with new oil filled. The oil filter is changed, and that's it. Right?
What happens next is comforting. All fluids will be topped off, adding to present levels. This means wiper fluid, steering and brake, and all other systems that require fluid replenishment are taken care of. As well, a multi-point inspection will be undertaken, making note of tire pressure and wear, brake systems examined, and hoses and belts tested for punctures or loose fits.
