Rick Case Genesis continually updates our new inventory. Each new Genesis will grab your attention with its great features. One of our more popular models is the smaller Genesis G70. Let's look at how the upcoming 2022 model will compare with the most recent 2021 version.

2022 Genesis G70

The 2022 G70 sedan is fun to drive and boasts a unique value-oriented approach to luxury. It boasts poised handling and a well-tuned cabin with upscale tech components.

Performance

It comes standard with a four-cylinder turbocharged engine with 252 horsepower. However, you will be pleased when you experience the twin-turbo V6 that churns out 365 horsepower. An eight-speed automatic accompanies both of the engines. Regardless of the powertrain, the 2022 G70 has expertly superb handling. Its suspension does a great job of soaking up uneven road surfaces for a comfortable ride. It records 30 mpg on the highway and 22 mpg in the city with the base engine. The optional engine registers 30 mpg combined.

Design

The interior offers comfort due to the well-cushioned seats, ample legroom and headroom, adjustable front seats, footrest for the driver, leather upholstery, and more opulent features. The exterior displays outstanding features, such as tinted window glass, updated front, rear fascia, LED brake lights, and front grille.

Tech Features

Most tech components offered by the 2022 Genesis G70 come from the previous model. The only new tech feature includes a more extensive infotainment system (10.3-inch). Other tech features are a panoramic sunroof, satellite radio, Apple Carplay, and Bluetooth connection.

Safety

The 2022 G70 model provides several safety features, such as intersection assist, vehicle exit warning, a head-up display, driver condition monitor, and adaptive cruise control.

2021 Genesis G70

This previous model is not much different from the upcoming Genesis G70 model above. It also boasts a high-end cabin, and the exterior displays similar features to the 2022 Genesis G70.

Performance

The 2021 Genesis G70 model provides the same powertrain options as the upcoming G70 model. The base engine is the same turbocharged engine with 265 horsepower and the optional V6 that generates 365 horsepower. The only difference is the transmission - the 2021 G70 offers a six-speed manual transmission and an eight-speed automatic. Whichever transmission you opt for, you will still receive smooth and timely shifts.

Design

This model year displays most features offered in the 2022 G70 model. The only differences include the updated front and rear fascia in the 2022 Genesis G70. There is also the infotainment touch screen (8-inch), which is small than the one in the 2022 G70 model.

Tech components

The 2021 G70 offers the same features on the tech part as the upcoming G70 model, only that most optional tech features in this model year are standard in the 2022 Genesis G70. Some of the tech features of this model year include proximity keyless entry, automatic climate control, and a wireless device charging pad.

Safety

The 2021 G70 features the same driver assistant features as those offered in the upcoming G70 model. The only difference is that the 2022 Genesis G70 model adds more safety features that are not included in the 2021 G70 model. The safety features of this model year include adaptive headlights, rear cross-traffic alert, pedestrian detection, and many more.

Whichever Genesis G70 model you pick, you will be impressed by what is offered, given that they carry more outstanding similarities than differences. You can contact our dealership in Plantation, FL for more information.
